In case you've been living under a rock, Trayvon Martin was a 17 yr old teen, in Sanford, Fl, who was killed by a neighborhood watch captain who said Trayvon looked "suspicious". The watch "captain" George Zimmerman while still enraged from previous burglaries in the community saw the hoodie-wearing teen and began following him while he called the police. While speaking to the dispatcher, Zimmerman was warned not to follow the teen but he continued to chase, stating "They always get away". The thrill (or torture) of being a parent is one of the few things in life I continue to hit the proverbial snooze button on. Everyday. Faithfully. Fortunately, if I ever get the urge to test the ropes as a dad, I'll be able to do so with my new nephew Noah. I guess being an uncle isn't such a bad thing. I once read that an uncle is there to give advice more reasonable than a father and more responsible than a brother. That's cool, 'cause I think that's exactly where I'm at in life.
